Biography

Marty Mead has more than two decades of experience representing clients in real estate and employment law matters. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Mr. Mead practiced for 17 years with Paul Hastings LLP, the premiere employment law firm in the United States, where his clients ranged from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. While at Paul Hastings, he represented, counseled and trained employers in all aspects of employment law, including wage/hour, wrongful discharge, discrimination, sexual harassment, occupational safety and whistleblower law. He co-authored The Employment Law Handbook: A Complete Reference For Business and contributed to three editions of the Legal Guide to Human Resources.

Mr. Mead served from 2008 through 2016 on the California Association of REALTORS ® Strategic Defense Panel, a select think tank charged with identifying and providing solutions to legal issues faced by California real estate professionals.

Biography

Nicole Briggs is a founding partner of Broker Resource Law Group. Practicing law over a decade, she has focused her career on real estate brokerage law as an attorney at California Association of REALTORS® and Partner at BRLG. Ms. Briggs consistently interfaces with clients regarding transaction related queries, teaching classes, and advising her market center clients on business decisions.

Leading the California Association of REALTORS® Strategic Defense Panel as C.A.R. Strategic Defense Counsel, she consulted and collaborated with litigators across the state of California discussing issues and establishing resolutions for prevalent and timely legal issues in the REALTOR® community. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating contracts, developing curricula, and creating and implementing best practices for the REALTOR® community.

Ms. Briggs is committed to improving professionalism in the real estate community. She has dedicated her career to training, advising and assisting agents in mastering real estate matters.

Colleen Kelley joined BRLG with over 10 years of legal experience, with an emphasis in all aspects of real estate litigation, including Broker defense, purchase and sale transactions, unlawful detainers, failure to disclose, wrongful foreclosure and environmental litigation. Throughout her career, she has regularly used her expertise to help clients navigate the drafting and negotiation of residential, commercial, and lease contracts.

In addition to her comprehensive background in real estate law, Ms. Kelley also has a depth of experience in insurance defense, employment litigation, general business litigation, collections, and administrative law.
